About Loretta Langille, BHSc, CEC, ACC
Loretta is the founder of Tuning into Wellness Corp. She is a Certified Executive Coach & Energy Coach. As a coach Loretta brings authenticity, honesty, calmness, curiosity and respectful boldness to her coaching conversations. She enjoys assisting her clients to consider alternate perspectives as they self-discover what matters most to them. Loretta uses her intuition when coaching her clients and shares without attachment or agenda. Loretta believes in taking a holistic approach which balances personal needs, values and overall health/wellness with the challenges and opportunities people face.
From an educational standpoint; Loretta completed graduate level Executive Coach training at Royal Roads University which is an Accredited Coach Training Program of the International Coach Federation. She completed a Bachelor of Health Science degree with distinction through Thompson Rivers University, British Columbia. Furthermore, Loretta completed the Foundations of Applied Mindfulness Meditation certificate program at the University of Toronto. Loretta is also a level 2 Reiki Practitioner trained in the USUI system of natural healing. Loretta also studied Sound Therapy at The Institute of Traditional Medicine and is now a Certified Sound Practitioner.
Loretta was also a co-founder at Engaging Teams; a company that focused on holistic team building retreats and leadership workshops. Although, her business partner Dorothy and her decided to close this business, she gained a depth of knowledge and experience from this venture. Loretta discovered first hand what a true collaborative partnership is and Loretta and Dorothy continue to collaborate on many projects both personal and professional.
Before getting into the coaching field, Loretta worked as a dental health professional for 14 years, owned and operated a small business, taught professional development courses and provided tobacco cessation training as a Certified Tobacco Educator.
Like most people, Loretta followed the traditional trail of going to college, working in a decent paying profession, buying a house, getting married, and having two kids. According to societal norms, she had everything that ‘should’ make her happy and complete. Although, she was grateful for all she had, something was seriously missing. She felt disconnected from herself; stressed out, burnt out from juggling all the demands of life, including the ones she put on herself. She often suffered from stress-related illnesses, chronic pain, accidents, and she thought “I need a change, but I’m not sure what.” She was stuck; afraid to change and she constantly wondered if there was more to life than this.
It was her grandmother’s death that finally opened her eyes fully to the reality that life is precious and she couldn’t waste anymore time. The small steps she had taken to move forward in life such as going back to school to obtain a university degree while still working were good, but they weren’t enough. She finally found the courage to take a leap of faith and leave her unfulfilling job. After this, her journey of self-discovery really started to unfold. For her (like many people) it took some major life changing events, chronic pain and the death of a love one to finally start ‘waking up’ to who she really is and how she wanted to live the rest of her life. She now looks back on all the suffering and the courage it took to change her life with great gratitude. Her journey expanded greatly from there and she has learned to tap more deeply into her intuition and follow her path with a greater sense of awareness and trust.
Her deep personal experience has created a passion in her for helping others live and create working conditions that are aligned with their personal path and life purpose. She has learned the importance of being in alignment with our inner wisdom and sees life’s challenges and illnesses as a tool for self-awareness. She understands that often our purpose is directly tied into our work in the world. It is for this reason, she empowers leaders to tune into their inner wisdom, passion, and activated calmness to better their lives and workplace environments.
